Dr. Lipps directs the Musculoskeletal Biomechanics & Imaging Laboratory, integrating quantitative ultrasound imaging, experimental biomechanics, and wearable technology to understand shoulder function. His research program centers on the upper-extremity morbidity faced by breast cancer survivors following surgery and radiation therapy, with the goal of improving how these impairments are detected and treated.
